“The one who must not be named”!

When red streams down in a pool, it’s true that I lose my cool.

I don’t find the need to hide it or to publicize it,

it’s something normal but, the society is blinded.

Why is it that a natural process is made into an issue;

a time of the month spent sitting with a tissue!

Wrapped in a newspaper, smuggled under the table,

caught in the act; hiding it’s label.

Checking the uniform for a stain,

stopping herself from doing it again.

She washes her face, to ward off the heat.

Faking a smile, for a week on repeat!

Mood swings ticking, pain starts kicking,

People acting bizarre, trust me its not a hazard.

Not a crime, it’s just a matter of time,

you too will name the one,

who must not be named!

A natural process that shouldn’t shamed. Period.
